Dining Room

The large and bright dining room is furnished with antique dressers, tables and chairs.

Both front and side windows overlook the loch, with the docking ferries at Cairnryan in the foreground, and the mouth of the loch behind. All the Stranraer and Cairnryan ferries can be seen turning into the loch, and on clearer days, Kintyre appears as a prominent backdrop on the horizon.

Food is uncomplicated, made with quality ingredients, and beautifully presented. Breakfast is freshly cooked and served to order from 07:30 (last orders normally taken at 09.00). For early departures prior to 07:30, we are happy to leave a tray of juice, cereal and milk, and filled baguette (by prior notice only) for consumption in the room.

.

There are a number of licensed restaurants and eating places in the area,

both in Stranraer and Cairnryan, which we are happy to recommend.

We ourselves do not operate a restaurant, however evening meals can normally be catered for,

but since all food is freshly bought to order and cooked especially for the guest,

this is only by prior arrangement.

Typical suggestions for meals served would include roast dinner, cottage pie with vegetables,

or steak chips & salad, to name a few, but we tailor to the guest requirement,

and will try to meet any request.

A vegetarian equivalent is available for most food served, including cooked breakfast.

Guest Lounge

.

Open from early morning through to late evening.

Groups of comfortable leather chairs and sofas create a comfortable and stylish

environment in which to relax. A number of board games, and a collection

of several hundred books are available to be enjoyed.

The building is only open to persons staying in the hotel,

and no alcohol license currently applies.

In the future, we intend to be able to serve alcohol to our guests,

but until then, we are happy for guests to consume their own alcohol,

and will happily provide glassware and ice free of charge.

Entrance, Foyer & Corridors

.

Our foyer has reception desk and small seating area. A wireless access point to the internet is

permanently available for laptop users.
